SEIWA PATENT & LAW began in April 1966, when Dr. AOKI Akira, Doctor of Engineering, founded a firm in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, JAPAN, under the name of A.AOKI & ASSOCIATES. The firm relocated to Toranomon, a neighboring area, in 1969, due to an increase in the number of staff. In 1975, the administrative sector was reorganized into a separate company under the name of “A. Aoki & Associates Co., Ltd.”, represented by Dr. AOKI.
In January 1993, Mr. UI Shoichi, attorney-at-law, took up the position as president, followed by Mr. ISHIDA Takashi, the current chairman, in January 1996, to accomplish our firm’s further development. Subsequently, the firm was taken over by Mr. AOKI Atsushi, patent attorney, in September 2003, up to the present. In September 2009, A.Aoki & Associates Co. Ltd. was integrated into SEIWA PATENT & LAW, and the management setup was changed to a partnership system, aiming for further development under the above joint operation system.
